I have noticed that there is not much information on what hairstyles are going to be trendy for Fall-Winter 2012-2013. I was kind of disappointed by this fact. On the other hand, hairstyle is something that you choose not only based on current fashion trends, but also depending on your hair type, face shape and even temperament. I decided to do my own little “research” in order to identify the trendiest hairstyles for fall-winter 2012-2013. I particularly focused on easy hairstyles, since I am not a hairstylist, and I was looking for long hairstyles I could easily do myself. These are some trendy hairstyles for the upcoming seasons.
Romantic waves. If you like the hairstyle featured at Gucci Fall 2012 fashion show, you can easily imitate it (of course, you have at least shoulder-length hair). You just need to create the waves, and then take small section of hair from both sides, twist them and pull them to the back of your head. You can use bobby pins to fix the twists at the back or use something fancier as shown on this photo. Personally, I like this hairstyle, because it is both casual and sophisticated. Anyone can wear this kind of hairstyle when going to work, to a cocktail party or for a date.
Long straight hair. There are no doubts that long hair is beautiful. The hairstyle presented at Prada Fall-Winter 2012-2013 fashion show was not easy to forget. Of course, the extra-long hair was achieved by using hair extensions. There were also some interesting hair color ideas, but anyone can create a similar hairstyle. You would definitely need some hair mousse, and gel, and, of course, a hair straightener.
Long blow dry hair. You just cannot ask for anything easier than this hairstyle, yet the look is very fresh and trendy. While blow drying, just section the hair that frames your face, and backcomb the hair at the crown, and you are good to go! You may need to use some hair products to make the style last longer.
Chignons. It looks as sleek hair is one of the hairstyles trends 2012. I really liked the hairstyles seen at Kenzo Fall-Winter 2012-2013 fashion show. All the hair is tied at the back, and the chignon itself is a bit messy and creative-looking. Again, I would think that this kind of hairstyle is easy to replicate. You would need some hair gel and bobby pins to create something similar.
1960s-inspired hairstyle. Side long bang, backcombed hair tied in a low ponytail – these were the main points of the 60-s-inspired hairstyle presented at Derek Lam Fall-Winter 2012-2013 fashion show. Again, I believe this hairstyle is versatile: it will work for casual day look as well as for going out experience.
Personally, creating different hairstyles has never been my strong side, but I could say that these hairstyles do not look very complicated – even to me. It has always been a huge dilemma for me to choose between long hair and short haircut, between having a bang versus going without a bang. When I had shoulder-length hairstyle, I wanted to have long hair so badly. When I finally got long hair, I started dreaming getting a trendy haircut. I know for sure – now I have more reasons to stick to having long hair – I am going to experiment and create all these easy hairstyles offered by fashion designers for fall-winter 2012-2013. We all know that with the change of a season we also crave a change in our look.
