Hairstyles 2013 – From Runways Into Real Life
What are the major long hairstyles trends for 2013? Where can we find an inspiration for long hairstyles 2013? By looking at the collections presented during New York fashion week, we can definitely get a feel of what kinds of long hairstyles are going to be trendy for 2013. Some of the long hairstyles 2013 we have seen at the runways are more wearable than others. Some are just plain classic, presented to us with a new perspective. For example, Altuzarra Clpi Spring 2013 collection proved us once again that sleek hairdo for long hair will never lose its appeal and chic.
Looks as central parting is going to be one of the major spring 2013 hairstyles trends. Models at several Spring 2013 collections had their hair styled the way so it stayed sleek and kept the central parting visible. We have seen that kind of simple, yet elegant, hairstyle at Victoria Beckham and Zac Posen Spring 2013 fashion shows.
Speaking of central parting hairstyle trend, hairstyles at Thakoon Spring 2013 fashion show had that feature along with some long wavy hair, tied at the very end. I found this long hairstyle pretty interesting and sophisticated, yet easy to replicate.
Carolina Herrera hairstyles definitely deserved our attention. Even though bangs continue to be trendy for 2013 (keep reading for bangs 2013 trends), the models at Caroline Herrera Spring 2013 collections had no bangs whatsoever – the hair was styled to open up a face, making the main accents on a forehead.
Alice+Olivia Spring 2013 collection presented another version of classic low ponytail. This hairstyle is definitely an alternative for those of you who are not big fans of central parting.
3.1 Phillip Lim hairstyles were more on a relaxed side. While Altuzarra, Zac Posen and Alice+Olivia long hairstyles may be very appropriate for formal wearing, the hairstyles at 3.1 Phillip Lim fashion show gave us permission to feel relaxed and laid back. It looks as undefined waves and natural volume are the main attributes of 3.1 Phillip Lim Spring 2013 hairstyles.
As for bangs, they continue to be trendy in 2013, and why shouldn’t they? Karen Walker bangs were very dramatic – long enough to cover the eyes. I cannot deny that this kind of bangs look very edgy, but I also cannot help but think about the practical side of wearing a bang like this. I think that a bang this long are too uncomfortable to wear.
Side bang is pretty much the classic, and during this New York fashion week we have seen side bangs at many fashion shows, including DKNY Spring 2013 collection.
This is by no means is a complete list of trendy hairstyles 2013, and there are still so many more to cover. Do come back for some more posts on 2013 hairstyles! I will do my best to post them anytime soon.
